AIRSCAN® Transducers

Highly attenuative materials are readily tested using our 120kHz ceramic transducers (ceramic transducers are more robust than electrostatic transducers) ,  providing an optimum combination of  resolution and penetration.  Our 225kHz ceramic transducers offer increased resolution, while still providing robust penetrating power. The high frequency of 400kHz ceramic transducers yield the best lateral resolution, while the low frequency 50kHz transducers are used for the most attenuative materials (thick section foam core & multi-septum parts).

Airscan® transducers are specifically designed for use in conjunction with QMI’ s Sonda 007CX Airscan® Instrumentation, and are not compatible with conventional ultrasonic instrumentation.   QMI does not supply these transducers apart from the Sonda 007CX.
